Naps

Oh the power of a nap,
They just rejuvenate you in a snap!
And though a few mintues is the cost of this bliss,
those are a few mintues I am sure not to miss.
But still a problem comes, that you can surmise,
From them, I can just never get the will to arise!

My Perfect Prince

Do you ever wish
when the moon is full
that your future prince charming
will be monotonous and dull?
Do you hope he'll have 7 hairy fingers and 21 chunky toes
and a contagious fungus growing on his nose?
Have you said to yourself: self, do you know what I need?
I need my Prince to have a plump sluggish steed!
For who needs to ride off into a golden apple sunset?
The man I find will be colorblind I bet
I want a man with hair the color of muddy rain
and a smile that proclaims to the world: "I'm completely insane!"
Do you ever say, I hope he has a beard grown out to his knees
and if it's possible, could he have 4 double chins please?
Many men have come and gone with the hopes of being the one
when I see them I shout "Get out!" and go to fetch my gun
Some day, I have confidence that he will come
until then I examine my thumb.........

I sat reading poetry on my iPod,
While my son played in the mud.
Perhaps I should plant some sod,
For having only brown dirt is a dud.

What's Inside?

Here is Pam,
Smiling like a little lamb,
Oh so happy she seems,
Until you know about her dreams.

She isn't really happy,
She wants to tear out your liver,
So you better make it snappy,
If anything you want to give her.
Oh boy look at the time
My stomach churns full of chyme
now all day I can eat lime
Tuition rates will leave me with a dime
But in the end I'll turn out fine
To buy presents I'll stand in line
And listen to all the rhyme
For Christmas I yearn and pine
For a friend as large as Frankenstein
And he will always be just mine!

Test, test, test, test, test, then test.
I have only one more test!

Gee that last one was a pest.
Wake up early, cram the rest.
Studied all semester long.
Really hope I don't go wrong.
Wish me luck now here I go
For soon I'll be an eskimo.

Bang! Alaska job I found
Summer with Cherish- how profound.
I hate to drive, and yet I will
Because the rest brings such a thrill.
I love to teach and travel too.
And a change I believe is due.

One I brought with my own cue.
As you see it is quite new,
With this blog I can't go wrong.
I love to write poems all day long.
My favorite meter is trochee,
With it I feel wild and free.

Well now I must retire to sleep.
Please don't cry or sob or weep.
I be back soon with more to say.
And you'll exclaim "Callooh Callay"
Till then try the Jaberwocky
It's so great you'll laugh and mock me.

For my poems are not as great.
Here's only practice. Please don't hate.
For I work hard on what I do.
And I'm still tired. How about you?
I meant to stop long time ago.
But it's so fun and keeps the flow.
Stink, stank, stunk.
Gosh! Statistics is a punk.
That previous poem was Heather dears,
Dont worry Heather, shed a few tears,
This is actually my poem you see,
I like cotton candy, tee hee hee hee.

Well my test in Bio was a blast,
all about the heart and osteoclast,
Not really... it was about the lung,
I want to go play some ping pung...pong.

I love writing poems and eating tomato soup,
Or play some b-ball....watch out! alley-oop.

Its raining outside come what may,
The old eucalyptise swings and sway,
Beckoning me to come and play,
But I may ruin my glasses that resemble Tina Fey('s)
Who is a good Sarah Palin...by the way.

I actually don't love Tina Fey my friend,
I am now going to end.

Ta Da!Oh Frabjous Day! (by Lewis Carroll. Not the poem just the part about 'Frabjous Day')
I write the poem. Yes me. My name is Jamima Winnepeg...thats my pen name.
Great and blessed day anew
Heaven gives me a quick view.
Love and peace to all mankind
Angel of hope, now I find.

That was fun. Time for more.
Here I hope I am not a bore.
Finals end in two days--Wow!
Semesters end and take their bow.
The wisdom we have gained this year,
Is quite profound. Give it a cheer.
I love to learn and laugh all day.
Then at night my heart gives way.
For procrastination is the key,
To living life in misery.
Now I should study for my test.
Or clean my room. It's quite a messt.

GOOD LUCK ON FINALS EVERYONE!

What a day in history
Blogging was a mystery
Now internet has shed the light
Spread my wings and I took flight
Welcome. This site is for all those who have random poems that they create on those spur of the moment just for fun. Here we can share our poems. Whether they be short, long (well not too long), funny, or philosophical.
